"Metering To The Extremes" Receives STC Merit Award - (1/07)
Built Creative designed a cover for Metering International that was accompanied by articles and some additional photo insets entitled "Metering to the Extremes: North to Alaska and South to the Caribbean" that has received a Merit Award from the Carolina Chapter, of the Society for Technical Communication (STC) competition. The articles were well written, had beautiful graphics and photos, and were well received for their category — Trade/News Articles.
The STC Carolina Chapter is one of the largest in the US and receives numerous entries from RTP and international companies in the triangle and triad area. This Chapter has a reputation for attracting some of the best technical documentation professionals and submissions in the U.S. and other countries and boasts the most entries that go on to compete in the International STC Competition. > READ MORE AT STC <

Washington, DC Photo Expedition - (11/11/06)
In celebration of Veterans Day, we embarked on a journey to the nation's capitol where we toured the memorials and monuments, took a ton of pictures, and enjoyed some beautiful weather. Watch for new photos posted to our site very soon.
Built Creative Receives 3 Graphic Design USA Awards! - (9/06)
2006 Has been marked by success and growth. We have received 3 Graphic Design USA awards this year for our work on the Elster Print Ad campaign, Highland Construction flyer, and Jayco Construction pocketfolder. Thanks to everyone who contributed copywriting, photography, creative input, and numerous hours to make these pieces something to be recognized in the industry.
We are happy to once again call the Triangle our home. We enjoyed our time in Mississippi, made new connections, experienced exciting adventures, and made new friends. Now we are preparing to rev up the engines and focus on taking the business forward at full speed.
211 Design is Now Built Creative - (5/06)
Shane Poteete has been creating graphic design and original artwork and illustrations for organizations and businesses since the late 1980's, but in the spring of 2001, Shane founded 211 Design as the official operating name to his personal business. Since that time he has expanded his services to include partnerships with other advertising and marketing professionals who share his dedication to service and quality to form a "collective" of talent and skills. This expanded business model required a name that not only spoke to Shane's original business philosophy but could also encompass a wider range of people and services. This new business identity is now known as Built Creative.
Expanded Photography Services - (8/05)
Shane Poteete has always enjoyed photography and has invested in a variety of high-end Canon digital photography equipment to add to his arsenal of services. We will be posting pictures from our recent expeditions very soon. Check back.
Marcom Consulting New Business Venture - (4/05)
Obtaining new business is a constant pursuit of any organization. In an effort to continue servicing our current customers without distraction, we have partnered with Marcom Consulting who has become an integral part of our new business plan. It is Marcom's job to make calls and setup appointments with potential customers. This allows the artists and designers of Built Creative to maintain their focus on the critical aspects of client service and graphic design. A BIG THANK YOU goes out to Marcom Consulting for their continued efforts to further both our businesses!
