The people that make up an organization are by far it's most important asset. Although there is a long list of partners, vendors and support staff that make our everyday workings possible, we would like to share a bit about our key people to help you understand who we are.
Shane Poteete
Founder / Art Director / Creative Director / Illustrator / Photographer
Shane received a scholarship to attend Shepherd University where he graduated Cum Laude with a BFA in Graphic Design and a minor in painting in 1994. In addition to taking on a variety of freelance projects over the years, Shane has served as Art Director for advertising/marketing firms in both Maryland and North Carolina where he played a key role in the design and development of print, web, direct marketing, multimedia, and television advertising for both business to business and consumer accounts. Shane continues to push the envelope and utilize new techniques and technologies that can be employed to help clients grow their business and stay ahead of the competition. At the core of every project is his firm belief that success can only be measured by the success of his clients. Shane has received praise, accolades, and awards over the years from both the industry and clients, including 6 Graphic Design USA awards, numerous print industry awards, an STC Award, and an Ellie Award, to mention just a few.
Matt Everley
Art Director / Photographer
Matt has over 8 years of experience in graphic communication, web design and brand development. He has been employed for the largest advertising agency in the world–Ogilvy & Mather, and the smallest–himself. He's worked on national and international accounts for the likes of Tyco, IBM, and Divi Resorts to name a few. He holds a BA in Graphic Communications and a Minor in Design from NC State University, graduating Cum Laude. His knowledge of the internet, dynamic content, graphic design and printing processes gives him an overall roundness that provides a unique fit with Built Creative. Matt has obtained multiple awards for design, direct mail and identities, including 4 American Graphic Design Awards.
Russell Joubert
Strategic Marketing Consultant / Copywriter
Russell Joubert, President of Marcom Consulting, is contributing his services by helping us locate new business, handle new accounts, and write copy. All of this is an essential part in growing our business. If creativity and skill aren't enough, his years of experience in handling just about every account type imagineable make him a great asset.
Shannon McQuade LuQuire
Tradeshow Booth Display Consultant / PR Specialist / Copywriter
Shannon graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BA in English. After attending the Carolina Publishing Institute, she opened her own publishing company in Wilmington, NC, where she produced two successful event planning calendars for Eastern North Carolina. Her love of event planning and keen eye for detail eventually led her into the tradeshow industry, where she now has over ten years of experience working with a variety of clients on a national level, including IBM, Progress Energy, Waste Industries, The American Kennel Club, and The US Tennis Association. She has managed hundreds of displays from original design sketches to finished exhibits while also providing her clients the sales training they need on the show floor. She understands that event planning can be both time-consuming and overwhelming, but her experience and positive attitude give peace of mind and assurance that details will be checked and deadlines will be met. By working closely with her clients, she provides the best, most effective tools for her clients to stand out among the competition.
