Brenda has managed ElectriCities' economic development services since 1995. ElectriCities of NC, Inc., a joint action agency, focuses on serving its members and enhancing the quality of life of public power communities in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. ElectriCities' primary function is to manage two of the state's municipal power agencies—North Carolina Municipal Power Agency Number 1 and North Carolina Eastern Municipal Power Agency. Prior to becoming the manager of economic development, Brenda provided services specially developed for members' residential customers in ElectriCities' residential marketing division.
Brenda has been employed at ElectriCities for more than 25 years and has created strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision makers within each of our member communities. She is an active member of SEDC, IAMC and CoreNet Global, as well as a former Board Member of the N.C. Economic Developers Association. Brenda is an alumnus of North Carolina Wesleyan College, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in business and successfully completed the Economic Development Institute at the University of Oklahoma. Brenda is happily married to Lynn Daniels and together they have two sons, Jason and Travis.
